minamodesignは、たーた（画家）とミキ（アーティスト）による活動をまとめたショップです。

子供の頃から、絵を描くことがずっと隣にありました。

高校では美術科で油絵を専攻し、大学では陶芸を学びましたが中退。単身ニューヨークへ渡り、現地のアートに刺激を受けながら約7年間を過ごしました。帰国後は、子育てに向き合いながらも、絵を描くことは続けてきました。絵本の挿絵や、見る人の心がほっとするようなイラストを中心に制作し、商品パッケージも数点手がけています。

太陽、月、星、風、木々、水面、海——

身のまわりにある自然の営みをそのまま写しとるのではなく、そこに流れている「気配」のようなものを、アクリル・パステル・色鉛筆で描いています。

観葉植物や多肉植物、塊根植物を育てる中で、植物が土から水を吸い上げ、光に向かって伸びていく姿そのものにも、絵と同じ循環を感じるようになりました。作品を通して伝えたいのは、特別な景色ではなく、日々の暮らしの中にすでにある、自然とのささやかなつながりです。

2026年11月には、ニューヨーク・RESOBOXで開催されるグループ展（テーマ：メメント・モリ）に参加します。これまでのイラストとは異なり、初めて「生と死」をテーマにした作品に取り組み、生と死がめぐる自然の循環を、光と植物のモチーフで表した作品を出展予定です。

絵画作品のほかに、流木・天然石・エアプランツを組み合わせたオリジナルの雑貨も制作しています。こちらも、自然の素材が持つ表情をそのまま活かすことを大切にしています。

流木とワイヤー、天然石、エアプランツを組み合わせたオリジナルのディスプレイ雑貨です。一点ずつ素材の表情が異なるため、すべて一点ものになります。

I majored in oil painting in high school and later studied ceramics in university, before leaving to spend nearly seven years living in New York, immersed in its art scene. After returning to Japan, I continued drawing even while raising my children — working mainly on picture book illustrations and gentle, heartwarming pieces, along with several product packaging projects.

Sun, moon, stars, wind, trees, water, sea —

Rather than simply capturing the natural world around me, I try to paint the quiet presence flowing through it, using acrylic, pastel, and colored pencil.

Growing houseplants, succulents, and caudex plants, I began to notice the same kind of cycle in how they draw water from the soil and reach toward the light — a rhythm not so different from what happens on the canvas. What I hope to share through my work isn't a rare or special scene, but the quiet connection to nature that already exists in everyday life.

In November 2026, I will take part in a group exhibition at RESOBOX in New York (theme: Memento Mori). Stepping outside my usual style for the first time, I'm creating a piece that explores the theme of life and death — the cycle of nature, expressed through light and plant motifs.

Alongside my paintings, I also create original objects combining driftwood, natural stones, and air plants, always trying to let the character of each material speak for itself.
