このたび、ニューヨークで開催されるグループ展

「Memento Mori in NYC」に

参加させていただくことになりました。

ニューヨークで"メメント・モリ"を切り口にした新しいカルチャーイベントをつくる.。

そんな大きな挑戦の場に、

作家のひとりとして関わらせていただけること、
本当に光栄に思っています。

「生と死」をテーマに描いた、はじめての作品

今回、私にとって初めて

「生と死」というテーマに正面から向き合って、

作品を制作しています。

種から芽生え、育ち、花を咲かせ、

実を結び、朽ちて、また土に還っていく。

そんな命の巡りを、光と植物のモチーフに込めて、

60cm四方(S12号)のキャンバスに描いているところです。

色と遊ぶように、楽しく絵を描いていた子ども時代。

それを褒めてもらえるのが嬉しくて、

いつのまにか絵を描くことが大好きになりました。

ニューヨークで過ごした約7年間、

そして子育てを通して感じてきたこと。

そんな経験の積み重ねが、今の私につながっています。

11月、ニューヨークへ

11月1日から8日まで、ニューヨークに滞在します。

 当日は会場のご案内のほか、 

国産の精油もご紹介させていただく予定です。 

また、運営メンバーの一員として、 

当日は会場を作っていけたらと思っています。

ご報告していきたいと思います。

[Exhibition Announcement] Joining the Group Show "Memento Mori in NYC"

I'm happy to share that I'll be taking part in an upcoming group exhibition in New York,

"Memento Mori in NYC."

Bringing a new cultural event inspired by memento mori to New York.

Being part of such a bold, exciting challenge as one of the participating artists means so much to me.

My First Piece Exploring Life and Death

For the first time, I'm creating a piece that faces the theme of life and death head-on.

From seed, to growth, to bloom, to fruit, to decay, and back to the earth.

I'm expressing this cycle of life through light and plant motifs, on a 60cm square (S12) canvas I'm currently painting.

As a child, I loved drawing the way you'd play with colors, just for fun. Being praised for it made me happy, and before I knew it, drawing became something I truly loved. The seven years I spent in New York, and everything I've felt while raising my children — all of these experiences have shaped who I am today.

Heading to New York in November

I'll be staying in New York from November 1 to 8. On the exhibition days, I'll be helping guide visitors around the venue, as well as some Japanese-made essential oils. I'll also be helping out as part of the organizing team, and I hope to help bring the venue to life.
